Gwadar Lasbela Livelihoods Support Project (GLLSP)-IFAD

Institute of Rural Management in collaboration with the National Rural Support Program (NRSP) and financial assistance from the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) has launched a Gwadar Lasbela Livelihoods Support Project (GLLSP) in District Gwadar and Lasbela in the province of Baluchistan, Pakistan. The project has four major components including vocational training under which 4,884 target beneficiaries will be selected by NRSP field teams. This project aims at imparting vocational and training skills to rural community in 17 different trades including Beautician, Tailoring, Embroidery, Handicraft, Woodwork, Mobile Phone Repair and Maintenance, Electrician, Dress Designing, Hair Cutting, Air condition and Refrigeration Repair and Maintenance, Plumbing and Pipe Fitting, Generator & Motor Winding, Motor Cycle Repair, Computer software, Computer Hardware, Boat Machine Repair and Design Engine & Repair to enable them in planning their future livelihood choices. Duration of training will be varied from 30, 45, 60 to 90 days training, both residential and non-residential. As part of the project, mobile vocational centers will also be established for the successfully delivery of field training to the community.
