IRM is the vocational training provider of the Livelihood Enhancement and Protection (LEP) project, funded by PPAF and implemented by various organizations including NRSP, SUNGI, SCOPE and SPO. The project has four major components including vocational training. The project aims at imparting vocational and training skills to rural youth in 19 different trades, including Household Appliances, Mobile Repairing, Computer Hardware, Computer Software, Motorcycle Mechanic, Hand Embroidery, Machine Embroidery, Beautician, Car Driving, Tractor Driving, Adda Work, Wool Hand Embroidery, Peter Engine Repairing, Building Electrician, Showel Operator, Crane Operator and Excavator Operator to enable them in planning their future livelihood choices. As part of the project, mobile vocational centers have been established for successful delivery of field training to the community. Workbooks on different skills training are also prepared for participants’ assistance. The project is being implemented in four provinces of Pakistan including Punjab, Balochistan, Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
In addition to this, guidebooks for various skills training such as Lifeskills and BMST are also prepared for participants’ assistance.
