Skills for Job
Skills for Job (SFJ) is an initiative of the Punjab Skills Development Fund (PSDF) and is funded by the Department for International Development UK for increasing the access of low income, poor and vulnerable members of society to vocational training and skills acquisition programs for enabling them to earn higher incomes. The project is being implemented in various districts of Punjab and IRM is providing vocational and technical training to target beneficiaries from Districts Lahore, Sheikhupura, Faisalabad, Chiniot, Sargodha, Gujranwala and Narowal. The trades offered under the SFJ project are Cooking and Building Painting.
Training material including trainee manuals, and competency based modules have been developed for need based vocational trainings. Modules for business management skills, communication, creativity, and planning have also been developed as part of IRM’s vocational training programme.
Target Beneficiaries: 180 participants from the target districts.
