From the very onset, capacity building of staff has retained core significance at the IRM, as well- trained and motivated Staff is the driving force behind RSPs achievements as they are the torch bearers of the organizational approach and philosophy. To support this, SMTP of IRM fuels this engine with information and knowledge which is as important an intervention as the physical, material and financial support. Knowledge contributes to confidence, enables people to make informed choices (economic and Social) and helps people to deal with change as agents rather than subject.
Staff training Events at SMTP consist of a series of planned events, designed to improve performance at individual, organizational and sectoral levels. During the year of 2009-2010 a total of 35,913 Professionals have been trained out of which 33% were women while 67% were men.
Objectives
The programme has organized numerous long and short duration training workshops, seminars and exposure visits with an aim to invigorate and accelerate the personal and professional growth of the participants. We strive to change and improve along with its participants changing needs. We confidently claim (through feedbacks) that each time a participant undergoes SMTP’s staff training , he/she becomes more aware of their own unique identity and leadership and management styles and develop action plans for themselves and their organizations.
